Dr. Fang Lu is a Professor of Ophthalmology, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, School of Medicine. She got her Medical Doctor degree from Peking Union Medical College in 1999, received resident and fellow training at Dept. of Ophthalmology, West China Hospital from 1999 to 2003, and awarded as Excellent Resident and Fellow in China by Chinese Ophthalmological Society in 2001. She was a visiting associated professor at Yale University, School of Medicine 2003 to 2008. Then she returned to continue her clinical and experimental work at West China Hospital. She is a youth committee member of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, committee member of Chinese Neuro-ophthalmological Society, committee member Association of Chinese Female Ophthalmologist, and a youth committee member of Chinese Ophthalmological Mirco-Circulation Society, She serves on the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases, and is a reviewer for Eye and Retina. Dr. Fang Lu has worked on medical retina for about 17 years, she is a pioneer in the treatment of AMD in China, and involved in most clinical trials such as PDT, ranibizumab, anti-VEGF trap and KH902. She also interested in pediatric ophthalmology like ROP, RB, FEVR, and neuro-ophthalmology which is very young in China.
